Your time is limited

I wrote a chapter in my upcoming book, Borrowed Life, about how our existence is like the sands in an hourglass of time. They are limited. Our time on earth is not forever; therefore, our moments are like grains of sand slipping through our fingers each passing day. How are we using our borrowed time? Since it is limited, it must be carefully used and managed. The Bible teaches us to redeem the time because the days are evil. This relates to the tyranny of distraction and endless acquisition, which life tries to force upon us. From the moment we are born until the time we are ready to depart, the society we live in tries to give us a blueprint for our lives. Each person must go through the stages set by society and conform to what it dictates. However, if we only have limited time here, it compels us to hold each moment dearly and use them wisely, knowing that one day we will give an account of how we used them. Life is fragile, and our time is on a countdown. How do we live this life knowing our time is limited?
