Plenty of time?

Satan’s biggest lie is making you believe that you have plenty of time before thinking about your soul and its eternal destiny. You don’t have plenty of time. The truth is, you don’t even know whether you still have time. Each passing day reminds you that there are only so many days you may have left.
Why wait until you are at the end of your life before making a decision about your eternal destiny? Why accumulate as much as you can when you know that, at the end of your life, you will not take anything with you? Jesus has reminded us of the foolishness of acquiring wealth in this world: “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Believing that you still have plenty of time is the most tragic deception anyone can choose to accept. The fragility of life and the transient nature of time remind you and me that we can never assume we still have time. Tomorrow is not even guaranteed to us. Today—the present moment, as you read this blog—is all you have. What are you doing with the time you have? If you have not already done so, why not consider the welfare of your soul at least as seriously as you concern yourself with the welfare of your earthly existence? Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, the One who died for your sins and offers you the gift of eternal life?
