Your life has a purpose

Do you know that every life born into this world has a purpose? Your life has a purpose. You are not here just to exist. Many lives are wasted because people lose sight of their destiny—the reason for their existence. The Bible speaks of a Creator who has made plans for you. God said, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” If you are doubting the goodness of God or unsure whether your life has any meaning, remember that God never creates anything without a design or a purpose for being. This is especially true of our lives. God has made us intricately, each with unique gifts. There is not a single soul on earth without something to give. You are good at something that others find difficult to do. Find this gift—something you love to do, something that makes you feel happy and fulfilled every time you do it. Your purpose is connected to the talents and gifts God has given you. God equips those He wants to use. When we use our God-given gifts, it gives God pleasure. Eric Liddell once said, “God made me fast, and when I run, I feel His pleasure.” He went on to win at the Olympics and earned the respect of millions because he never let his running get in the way of his devotion to God. He became a missionary to China and made a difference in the lives of many children during the Japanese occupation of China. He lived out his purpose. How about you?
