When life seems harsh and unbearable, there is something we can learn from the unbreakable spirit of a young man who survived the horrors of  Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Born in Leipzig, Germany into a Jewish family, Eddie Jaku was a teenager when his world was rocked by the atrocities of the Nazis. He was beaten and tortured in the camp, stripped of everything, lost his parents and siblings and was sent to die along with the other nameless victims in a forced death march during the final days of the Nazi’s. When everything was taken away, all that was left in him was his will to survive. Against unimaginable odds, he refused to be broken. He survived and lived.  What is life throwing at you at this very moment? It might feel like you are drowning in sorrow over a lost of a loved one or facing a terrible diagnosis. You might be thinking that  there is no other way out for you, you might be up against the wall of impossibilities. But remember these are meant to make you stronger. Trials of life are sent to give us resilience and to test our resolve. Everything in us is meant to overcome any tragedy we face, rise above your situation, get up and survive it with your spirit intact. Do not let anything break your will to survive whatever is going on in your life right now. Remember, life is not meant to fight you! You are meant to overcome whatever life throws at you! You are unbreakable! Now, are you ready to rise?
