Trusting God's timeline

To everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. This is a comforting realization that allows us to let go of our tendency to control our lives. It can be tiring to the soul to always try to hold on to something. Learning to trust God’s timeline—His perfect timing for every season of life—is very liberating. I no longer force things. The best decision I made in my life was when I chose to trust rather than take it upon myself to hold and control everything. I realized that not everything is up to me and that God remains in control of the universe in which I live. If God holds the whole cosmos in the palm of His hand, I can trust Him with my little life, no matter what goes on in it at the moment. Waiting for God’s time and trusting Him fully with my tomorrow is the secret to living lightly. This whole week, I have watched God show me how He lovingly paints His magnificent creation with different colours every day. I am at my favorite place in the UK, the Isle of Lewis, this whole week. I have learned to wait for God’s perfect timing. Watching Him each morning paint the awe-inspiring mountains and hills with the beautiful sun rays at Achmore leaves me at a loss for words, marvelling at His amazing displays. I waited for the sun as it rose and watched it as it set. This has taught me to learn to trust God’s timing because that’s when He makes all things beautiful—not just in His own creation, but even more so in our lives.
