Consider your soul
Consider your soul

We hear of many disasters all around the world today—from flash floods to earthquakes, super typhoons, and volcanic eruptions. We also experience personal life disasters throughout our lives, varying in degree and intensity. Some can be devastating and life-changing, causing us to rethink our life’s trajectory. But among all these, no disaster is greater than the tragedy of losing one’s soul for all eternity. The greatest disaster is losing your soul after all the chances and offers of mercy God has given you in your lifetime. I cannot think of anything more tragic than losing your soul and not having Christ when you come face to face with death. The thought of being lost and separated from God in the vastness of eternity is the most horrifying of all thoughts. When God’s offer of mercy and reconciliation ends, your soul will have no more chances. It is the greatest tragedy to wake up in hell, because there is no going back from there. God’s offer of forgiveness is not forever. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. The offer is to believe in Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you. Either receive it or remain under God’s wrath, lost for all eternity. This is the greatest disaster. What are you choosing before this great day?
