Let them

When people around you judge you and expect you to be something you are not, let them. Let them think what they want to think about you. Let them judge you. Let them talk about you. Let them.

Sometimes in this life, we must learn to allow misconceptions about us. There are times when letting others watch and think wrongly of us is better than consuming our lives worrying about what people think. Be at peace with your own conscience and with God. Be true and real inside, for God desires truth in the inward part. Jesus never cared about what others thought of Him. He was secure and confident and knew His purpose. He did not spend His energy trying to prove people wrong. He let them. He knows there’s a time for everything and that justice will always be served. He never felt the need to defend Himself against false accusations. He held His peace. He let them. We can learn this meekness and gentleness from our Master Himself. He is meek and lowly in heart. He never retaliated nor defended Himself against His accusers. He simply let them be and even prayed for their forgiveness. Do you worry about what other people might be thinking about you? Do you have people who are judging you or accusing you falsely? How willing are you to just let them be and trust God to vindicate you?
