Following hard

In this life, I have learned that we only need to chase after God, and everything else will follow. If we seek after the things of this world, we will always end up wanting. Why is this? It is because nothing on earth can satisfy our souls; there is nothing that this world can offer that can meet the deepest longings of the human heart. We see this when we hear of famous people taking their own lives or those reaching the pinnacle of success confessing to an acute loneliness within their hearts, leaving them feeling empty inside. There is an emptiness within each of us, an empty void that can only be filled with God Himself, for He created us for Himself. Outside of Him and His will, we find ourselves lacking, always looking for something. Our hearts cannot rest until they find their rest in God. Following hard after Jesus is our greatest calling and privilege in this life. He gave His life as a ransom for us so that our sins can be forgiven and we can reconnect with God. Following hard after Him and knowing Him is this life’s greatest goal. I want this to be my magnificent obsession. To know Him and find my greatest joy in Him is my daily quest. What are you chasing in this life?
