Enjoy every page (of your life)

All of life is like a book. From birth to death, we create stories that turn into chapters, building up the pages of our lives. In this life, the only real thing we keep is our story. Our stories are all we have. Each day, we get the chance to create the stories of our life, something we can pass on to our children or the generation after us. Like any story, our life will be filled with ups and downs, pain and joy, comfort and struggles. Each story makes up each page in the book we are creating. The main thing is that we enjoy and cherish each page of this life we are building. We must have our own story of the goodness of God in our lives. The book of Psalms says we must taste and see that the Lord is good. This means that to truly know God and His goodness, we must taste and see with our own eyes the goodness of God. We each should have our own story of God and His work in our lives. God worked with Jacob until he called Him “the God of Jacob”. He did not want him to trust Him as the God of his father Isaac. God wants us to know Him personally as our own God. We cannot know God by just listening to the stories of others talking about God and how good He is to their lives. You must have your own story, your own experience of the goodness of God. To make each page count, we must learn to appreciate each moment, be patient in times of tragedy, and look out in hope for another day every time the night falls on us. In this life, nothing is permanent; we have to turn the page. After each story, another story will begin. So let us enjoy every page. Be joyful. Appreciate each moment, for who knows when our story will end?
