Christ Revealed

There is a difference between knowing Jesus intellectually and truly knowing Him in your heart. The latter can only be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit. He alone can reveal Christ to the human heart. Trying to know the Truth through your intellect can only end in pride. Knowledge puffs up. Christ must be revealed in the human spirit; your spiritual eyes must be opened to see the Truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” This truth hangs in the balance between life and death. There is your intellectual understanding, and there is the revealed understanding of who Christ is. These are two different things. To have Christ revealed in you is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit and the work of Heaven that brings transformation to your life. It is this unexplainable power within you that causes you to forsake your old life, abandon destructive sinful habits, and convict you of sin, leading you to repent and turn away from the evil of your ways and run to God, who authors faith in your heart, allowing you to see Him, learn of Him, and love Him. Suddenly, you are enabled to love God and obey His will. This is true Christianity: that Christ has been revealed to you and that your life now is all about Him. Have you known Christ this way?
