And then it's gone

What can be more precious than life itself? Can anything in this world equal the value of one’s life? Jesus said that only life is important. He mentioned that we worry about so many things, but only life itself is of value when everything is stripped away. Yet, we don’t seem to grasp how fleeting and short life is. It is just like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. It’s here today and gone tomorrow. With this realization, we can change the way we look at life and the way we live. Perhaps we should stop striving and start living a little each day. Maybe we should pay more attention to our present moments and begin to cherish every minute we spend with the people we love, rather than focusing on the future that is still to come. Perhaps it is time to leave your past behind and just be present at this very moment, giving your best to whatever your hand is doing right now. Life is not about possessions and achievements; life is about finding the joy in living and making the most out of this short lease of time given to us. It is a journey to be enjoyed and appreciated. Life is for discovering that after everything is said and done, we have lived well and given our all to what God has entrusted to us.Remember, life is here today, your breath is here, but then one day, without warning, it will be gone. How do you live your life knowing it will be gone one day?
