"Live slowly enough to be able to think deeply about God."
- J. I. Packer

The frantic chaos of modern life weighs heavily on all of us. Today, the relentless demand to rush things and live in the fast lane has never been stronger. With the daily feeds on our phones suggesting we upgrade everything we own to the latest design or version, we are being wired to live in a hectic world just to keep up with all these.
The call to slow living has never been more needed than in our present time. We live in an anxious world. Our hearts are troubled and our minds run wild with never-ending thoughts. Slowing down is a call to return to our inner peace—a balanced existence with no threat of losing anything but our home. Our troubled hearts can only find their rest in God. He is our home.
When we slow down, we give ourselves time to think about God, our existence, and our purpose. When our choices align with God’s design for our lives, we can live slowly because there is no need to rush or compete for attention elsewhere. This world offers only material gains, causing restlessness and greed—a never-ending need to accumulate more. When we learn to find our rest in God, we stop rushing; we learn to slow down. We learn to be at home with what God has provided for us. After all, gratitude allows us to see more of what we already have, and most of the time these are enough.
Jesus said we must not worry about tomorrow because tomorrow will worry about itself. He told us to let each day carry its own concerns. Today, try to rest in God. Take a break from your screen and try to slow down. Have you tried to be at home in God’s heart?

Excellent reminder, of what today's life is like. Be still and know that I AM God.
