Hope

Hope is a powerful force. It gives us the strength needed to carry on even when everything in us wants to give up. When all else fails and nothing makes sense anymore, we need hope. Hope is what gives us the courage to continue on no matter what happens. No matter the darkness around us, hope is the light inside our hearts that keeps us grounded. It allows us to see through all the deception and remain firmly standing in the truth. The Bible speaks of this hope often. Our blessed hope is fixed firmly on Jesus Christ, our rock. He is our refuge and our help in times of distress and trouble. Our help comes from Him. What can man do to us? Our help comes from Him Himself—the maker of heaven and earth! This is our living hope. His promised coming in times of great trouble, like we are all facing now in this world, gives us this unwavering hope which the enemy can never extinguish. Let us fix our hope in Him alone. The world can do what it wants, but we have this hope in us which no man can ever take away. Look up! Jesus is coming soon! Are you feeling disillusioned and tired because of all the bad news around you? Look up! Our hope is in Him who promised to never leave us nor forsake us.
