What are you living your life for?

I once read a quote that changed the way I look at my life’s purpose. It simply says, “Find something you would die for and live for it.” To me, it will be my faith. I will die for my faith. I am prepared to die for Jesus Christ. I believe He is worthy and if I had a thousand lives, I would give them all for Him.

To live for this world alone or for self-indulgence is the lowest of all motivations in this life. I believe that happiness is found only in giving yourself for a cause greater than your own life. It is the paradox of trying to pursue success and prestige in this life only to give it away as soon as you reach the top. Why is this? This paradox is what explains why after we strive and push towards a life of comfort and affluence, the more we become empty and lonely. Yet, the moment we discover giving out and helping others in their own struggles, we find joy and happiness that last.

Every time you wake up, you live for something. This is the mainstream of your life’s daily story. You give of your life each day. You expend it and use it towards a goal or a reason, and these reasons are what drive your actions. Whether you like it or not, you are living for something every day. What is it for you? What are you living your life for?

So much to do in this life but what are we doing them for? Let’s go for a purpose higher than this life. 😊
