How do you find the courage to begin? It could be your long-held dreams buried under the rubble of past mistakes. It could be a simple step to reconcile with a loved one or someone you have hurt or who has hurt you in the past. It could be a mountain of "to do" lists or your life's "bucket list" that you keep putting aside. It could be picking up a long-lost dream and reviving it. Whatever it is, you can find the courage to begin again if you learn to stop. In my latest book "STOP, the Way to Begin," I have explored many ways to start again in life. Like you, I was fighting my way out of the rat race. I was working six days a week nonstop as a nurse because I wanted to help so many people. I was working hard but got so caught up in the busyness of life that I came to a point where I needed to stop. Now, when I look back, I am so thankful that I took the chance to stop everything. I stopped so I could begin again. It was the hardest thing I had to do: to stop and give up everything that was going on in my life. I had to admit that "I need to stop. I must stop." That was when I found the courage to begin again. I found it because there was nothing else left inside of me but this courage, this nagging will to survive what I was going through and come out of it stronger on the other side. I want you to take a minute to think about your life, your dreams, your relationships. Do you need the courage to begin again?
