Chance encounter

One of life’s greatest adventures is meeting someone who inspires you and adds something to your life. It can be one of those pure and precious moments you want to hold on to and keep for the rest of your life. We meet extraordinary people as we journey through life, and I believe that this is what makes life exciting, making you feel alive. If you are blessed enough to have met people like this, cherish them and don’t let them be forgotten. I recently met someone truly amazing who has inspired me and given me so much wisdom—not so much from what he has to say, but from the mere simplicity and modesty of a man who has accomplished so much and yet speaks with such humility and grace. Nothing makes one more remarkably remembered than a humble, unpretentious presence. This always gets me. I can smell pride from a mile away, and it is one of the most revolting things on earth! This was found in Satan’s heart before he was thrown out of heaven. He was so engrossed by his own beauty and power that he forgot that everything he possessed was only given to him. Humility teaches us that we came into this world with nothing, and we will certainly leave this world with nothing. Today, thank God for the people He has allowed you to meet.
