This Christmas, we honor the extraordinary life of a man born to lay down His life for a cause unlike any other. A cause that embraces you, me, and indeed, the entire world. Though His mission would ultimately cost Him His life, He accepted this destiny willingly, fully aware of the immense suffering He would endure. Yet, this was a cause worth dying for, because through His sacrifice, many would be given life. He came to save us from our sins, offering a life of true purpose and forgiveness that grants us access to eternal life with God. The greatest news was announced on the day He was born. The One through whom all things were made came as a humble infant, lying in a manger. He grew up quietly in a simple family in Bethlehem and worked as an ordinary carpenter before beginning His three-year ministry. At the end of that time, He was crucified on a rugged cross, bearing the death that we deserved because of our sins. This is truly a cause worth dying for, and Christmas reminds us that this incredible story began on that silent, holy night when our Savior was born as a baby in a manger. Have you ever considered that your life has a purpose? That you too can choose to live for a cause worthy of dying for? How about dedicating your life to the One who gave His life for you?
