The wonder that is God

The wonders of God’s awesome creation surround us every day. There isn’t a day without the beauty of the sun greeting us as it lights up the day for all of us. The flowers, as they bloom silently in the night, smile at us even at the byways. We are greeted with the green trees each morning wherever we are. God’s wonderful creation is all around us. The Bible says: “For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. To not know God through the wonders that are all around us is the greatest failure of any human mind. The wonder that is God revealed throughout nature gives no one any excuse not to know Him. This Great Wonder speaks to our hearts as we gaze over the mountains or when our eyes sweep the horizon of the ocean in great admiration. When our hearts gasp at the realization of who God is, we understand that this Wonder, that is the Creator God Himself, has been speaking to us through all of the natural wonders around us. We only need to look. When life is busy, we do not have time to stop and look. We go about our lives, consuming the years we have been given until we come to the end of our journey here. This life’s journey should bring us to the knowledge of God and who He is. Knowing God is our soul’s ultimate longing. Have you encountered this awesome wonder that is God Himself?
