Regret is the most painful word. It spells those days that turned into years when we chose to postpone what is more important to attend to 'urgent' matters."
- an excerpt from the book; Stop. The way to begin.
Our lives can be very busy sometimes. There will be many demands on us as we go through our own journeys. Because of this “busyness,” we might accumulate many “regrets” in life. We might lose plenty of “precious moments” which we can never retrieve back. Because of this realization, I have learned to live my life with this one principle; “Regret now before it becomes too late.” Think of the things you would wish you would have done for your loved ones and do them now before you lose the chance. Think of something you wish you had said to a friend, your spouse, or your parents and say it now. Maybe there’s appreciation to be given or forgiveness you would have wished you gave someone who hurt you in the past. Maybe there is an apology that’s long overdue? The average human spends roughly 79 years or 28,835 days, or 692,040 hours on earth. How much of “these hours” do you spend seeking after God, how much prayer have you done, how much time do you spend simply "just for God"? The book of Psalms says, “Lord, teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” How will you look back in ten or twenty years from today? How many regrets will you have when you start to take stock of what your life has become?
