Our lives are meant to accomplish extraordinary things. We are born with the capacity to make a difference in this world. Each one of us is meant to impact the lives of those around us. We find joy in ordinary things, but we find fulfillment in doing the extraordinary.
When we live up to our full potential, God takes pleasure in us, His creation. Eric Liddell once said that God made him fast, and when he runs, he feels God’s pleasure. The talents God has deposited inside each of us must not be buried. The parable of the talents in the Bible clearly teaches that what God wants is for these talents to bear fruit and reach their maximum use or potential. One life holds massive potential for good; we can’t settle for just the ordinary because that’s not what our lives are meant to be. Ordinary material things and possessions, yes—but not what each life can do and accomplish. This should be extraordinary—nothing less! In fact, if we learn to live simply and embrace the ordinary, we can do extraordinary things. By having less, we can do more of what’s important—more of what makes a difference to others, more of what life is truly all about! Are you ready to live an extraordinary life?
