We can learn so much from bamboo. This tenacious, resilient grass is a bulwark of strength and triumph. Bamboo is the largest grass in its family and the only one that can diversify into a forest. Each line on its trunk symbolizes the number of years of storms and raging winds that tried to break and uproot this humble grass. And yet, after each harsh beating, it remains grounded and secured, ready to rise again. Our attitude towards life can either build or break us when trials and hardships come our way. God did not promise a life without any suffering. In fact, He assured us that we will go through testing and even tribulations! These are, however, part of life. They will come, but they are not meant to fight you and destroy you. They are sent to strengthen you and test your resolve. Learn to be like bamboo. When the storms come, it knows how to bend and dance along with the wind. No matter how ferocious the weather is, it knows how to ride it out and emerge intact and stronger than ever after each storm. If you are facing life’s trials, be like the bamboo and learn to sway along with it. Remember that it’s not meant to fight you. You are meant to fight and overcome what life throws at you! Life’s hardships are meant to make you stronger. Are you facing life’s challenges? How do you approach life when faced with life’s challenges?
