Knowing God

The saddest thing in this world is to live out all your years and miss knowing the Creator of life. Knowing God is not a side option you can set aside when there are many other options to embrace. Central to your existence is the fact that you have been given life in order to exist in this world. Finding the purpose of your life and living it out with meaning starts from knowing your beginning. The author of life, the God who formed you in your mother’s womb, must be known. You’ll never know where you are going unless you look back from where you came from. Life begins with the knowledge of God. The Bible says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Why is this? Because if your heart starts out by abandoning this fear and reverence for the One to whom we will one day give an account , then you will live recklessly without a thought about your eternity or the value of your soul. In this life, no matter how far you go, remember that you will one day have to face this one important question: Does my soul know God? Have I found my peace with God? When

all of life’s facades fade away, what is left will be a reckoning of our soul about our knowledge of God. The prospect of eternity will be the most painful thought for someone without the assurance of Christ's forgiveness. Have you found the knowledge of God in your heart?
