God works in mysterious ways

How many times do we struggle to trust God when we are facing chaos and impossibilities? The God who said to us that His ways and thoughts are higher than ours deserves our unwavering faith because of who He is. To understand and know God is key to knowing His ways. I knew an old man who silently waited for over twenty years for justice, which seemed impossible to come by in his lifetime. His wife believed with him that one day justice could be served, even though it would mean waiting indefinitely! I watched this couple struggle with their faith that one day God would vindicate them from all the wrongs done to them. I observed how the years of on-and-off hope etched uncertainties on their faces. I listened to their repeated stories time and time again until I sometimes no longer wished to hear them because it was painful to watch them wait. I personally would rather dismiss their story after many years and wish for them to choose the way of peace, believing that if justice does not come in their lifetime, then God will still grant them the justice due to them, even if not in their lifetime. But their unwavering faith in God’s justice is one of the most remarkable sights I have ever seen in my life. I watched them hold on to their faith against all odds. This paid off when one day God sent them the answer to the prayers of their hearts and, of course, to my heart too! This couple is my parents. The old man who silently prayed for years is my father. Today, I am thanking God and worshipping Him for who He is. I am in awe of Him yet again. His ways are perfect indeed. His ways are so much higher!
