Choosing to do the right thing

When confronted with doubts about what to do, the deciding factor will always be doing what is right. What does the Bible say about your situation, and what choice will align with what the Bible says? The will of God is what we want to pursue. There are times, however, when His will is not exactly what we desire. The desires of our hearts must align with His will. This gives us the assurance that the Lord will govern the desires of our hearts. When it is in accordance with His will, He hears us. The book of Psalms contains this beautiful passage: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” We must teach our hearts to delight in doing the will of God so that every desire of the heart will be in perfect alignment and harmony with His will. This will help us choose to do what is right every time. Are you struggling to follow the will of God because it is not what you want to do? Do you want to do what is right but find it difficult because it is not what you desire?
