Learning to Ask

Do you find it hard to ask? Asking when you are in great need takes guts and humility. This is the beginning of receiving. Having the courage to ask boldly for what you need is a sign of confidence. Knowing that only if you ask can you receive what you want, learning to ask is one of the skills we must master in this life. If we do not ask, we will not receive. The Bible clearly emphasizes this simple yet profound command: “Ask and you shall receive.” It is so simple that it is taken for granted. We know from life’s experiences that if we have failed to ask, we could have missed amazing opportunities which we were only able to seize because we have asked. I can always trace back the successes I am experiencing in my life to that time when I had asked. It might be a chance to supply a client, an opportunity you needed from someone, or just asking for help with a project or a difficult task. Do you find it difficult to ask?
